    • Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
    • Previous experience using our services or another DDNS provider
  • Benefits
  • Additional questions

To help us determine which candidates to interview, responses to the following questions should be included with a resume. Questions marked with “(SUPPORT)” represent common questions the selected candidate would be required to answer on a daily basis. Please phrase your answers as you would in that capacity. These questions can all be answered by looking on our website, searching, and a little thought.

    • Have you ever used DynDNS’s system in the past? If you currently have an account, what is your username in our system? What do you use the services for?
    • (SUPPORT) I’ve set up my hostname, it is being automatically updated with a client, and I’ve checked that it is working. Now I put up a web server, but no one can view my pages. What can I do?
    • (SUPPORT) I set up my hostname, but my IP address changed and my hostname didn’t. Why not?
    • (SUPPORT) I’ve set up my Custom DNS domain, and changed my nameservers at my registrar — they’re right in WHOIS, so why isn’t my domain activated yet?

It is not necessary to answer every question. If you cannot answer a question, or feel you would need more information to do so then you should indicate this in your mock response to the customer. These questions are for your information and for us to gain a feel for your troubleshooting, writing, and technical abilities.
